kiwi company

Here we are, almost two years later ...

Last time I posted here, I was writing C++ code to do document analysis and display for reading machines, for a kiwi company. Now, I'm writing PHP code to publish and aggregate structured content, for a Californian company.

In a few months I'll have been blogging for four years. How things have changed over that time...

... and yet, how things have stayed the same. Four years ago I was using Radio, typing in its WYSIWYG editor and communcating with the web server running on my desktop. Now Wordpress 2.0 has just come out and finally has a WYSIWYG editor of its own. I think Movable Type is yet to go WYSIWYG.

SB is finally bringing richer content to blogging. You can now publish text-based microcontent fairly easily. Podcasting is getting people to publish audio. Images are pretty well-established.
